week 4
Dear Families and Friends,
This week our long await gardening club began their business in our school garden. It was wonderful to see our students enthusiastically jumping in and getting dirty. We look forward to enjoying the fruits of our labour.

This week we also enjoyed having Joffa return to our school. Joffa works with the students through the media of visual arts and talks about values such as persistence, resilence and patience.

Next week we welcome to our team our school based counselor from Catholic Care, Amrita Dhugga. We look forward to welcoming her to St Francis and introducing her further to our community.

Next Tuesday the 20th of August, our Annual AGM for our School Board will be held. Everyone is welcome to join us for our AGM, which will be in the staff room starting from 5:30pm. If you would like to know more about the role of the school board or would like to join us please come along.

Today we sent home letters to families in regards to our Made in the Image of God (MITIOG) units. The letters explain the units to families and what will be taught to your child. For those families who would like further information please come along to our information session on Tuesday 20th August at 5pm in Room 2.

Please put the date Friday 13th of September into you diary as all Catholic Primary Schools will be closed for staff to attend professional learning in the area of Catholic Identity.

Tomorrow we host out annual Science Expo. Students will participate in demonstrations of scientific inquiry. Families and friends are more than welcome to come along and join groups to explore science through fun and exploratory activities.

We look forward to everyone getting their groove on at the Disco tomorrow night.

Grow in Wisdom and Love

Mel
