Dear parents, families and friends,

Welcome to a very exciting Week 7 Newsletter.

This week we share with families and friends that Miss Yvonne, who has played an instrumental role in our school, will be retiring at the end of the term. We will, as a community, acknowledge and thank Miss Yvonne at our last assembly for the term and welcome families and friends, past and present, to join us.

Miss Bec, who works as both our Early Learning Centre Assistant Director and our Out of Hours School Care Coordinator will be on long service leave as of next Monday and will return on Tuesday the 6th of August. We wish Miss Bec a wonderful break and hope she has a fantastic time. In her absence Miss Deb will take on the role of Acting Assistant Director for the Early Learning Centre.

This week we wrote to families in Room 1 to inform them that Miss Robbins will not be returning to St Francis this school year. We ask that you continue to keep her in your prayers and thoughts. Mrs Flynn will continue in the role of the Transition teacher with Miss Hayman continuing in the role of the Arts teacher and Sports teacher for Term 3.

Congratulations to Miss Steph, who works in our After School Care program, for successfully completing her Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care. Her intention is to begin her studies to become a primary school teacher and we wish her all the best.

We have sent home to families the opportunity to win: two 3Day passes to the V8s. For only $5 you can have the opportunity to win a prize worth over $190. Money raised will go towards upgrading our computers in the computer lab.

Congratulations to our three students who were confirmed at a beautiful celebration of Confirmation on Sunday.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Sports Day tomorrow; the timetable has been included in our newsletter. We wish the competitors all the best with the fastest legs, longest jumps, largest stretches and biggest throws.
