Prayer week 4
Dear families and friends,
Today we joined with thousands of other children from around the country singing the same song at the same time, We Are. Please jump onto our facebook page to enjoy our performance.

This week we have been participating in a multitude of events and activities. The purpose for these activities was to raise money towards the World Missions Appeals. Thank you once again to everyone for your support, you have been extremely generous.

On Monday we pause to remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty. We will have a special service at 11:00am on the front lawns lead by our student leaders. Families and friends are welcome to join us.

Families are aware that school banking has been an integral part of our school's financial literacy for students. ASIC recently announced that it is seeking the public's view of school banking programs to help inform its review. ASIC would like to hear from us. We can do this online by answering ASIC's short survey and providing any other feedback. Simply visit:
https://consultation.asic.gov.au/financial-capability/review-school-banking-programs/

On Wednesday the students in Years 5 and 6 enjoyed hosting and working with staff from the Office of the Children's Commissioner (OCC). The consultation involved asking our young people open ended questions about the NT. The OCC will send a summary of consultation findings, which we will share with the students when we have received them.

We have been invited to participate in the 2019 Rural Community Christmas Carols at Bees Creek. The evening begins from 5:30pm with food stalls being available and carols starting from 6:15pm. A note to choir member families was sent home earlier this week with the date of the carols being the 23rd of December. This is incorrect, please mark it into you diaries as Saturday the 23rd of NOVEMBER.

We look forward to inviting our 2020 Transition students to their orientation mornings on Wednesday the 20th and Thursday the 21st of November. A parent information session and morning tea will be held on the morning of the 20th.

Remember to wear sun smart casual clothes tomorrow for a gold coin donation. This is as part of our fundraising efforts for the World Missions Appeal.

Grow in wisdom and love
