Dear Families and Friends,

There was music in the air, dancing on the stage and laughter all around us. The We Are One concert for 2021 was a wonderful celebration for our school community. It was an opportunity for everyone to shine - and to enjoy some one hit wonders. Throughout the evening we thoroughly enjoyed watching the enthusiasm and enjoyment which was plastered on everyone's face. We congratulate the students who worked so hard to learn their dance moves, the teaching staff for their patience in teaching the dance moves and the staff as a whole who designed, organised, coordinated and even fed us. Thank you to the parents who supported and helped us and to the businesses who ensured the show could go ahead.

And for the final time...you have been listening to 56.1 SFAS the voice of Humpty Doo radio.

Thank you to all those families who have met with their child's teacher and had conversations about their learning goals for this semester. We appreciate your time as these are valuable conversations as we continue to work in partnership.

Next week we will be celebrating Science Week at St Francis of Assisi. Our highlight of the week will occur on Wednesday. Students will participate in a variety of science activities, in small mixed-aged groups. The 2021 school theme is Food: Different by design.

The following week is Book Week and there will be a number of activities around books happening in the classrooms culminating in the traditional St Francis of Assisi Book Week Character Parade on Friday the 27th of August.

Our school board Annual General Meeting will be occurring on Monday night. An invitation to attend this meeting is extended to all parents and friends of the school community and we would love to see you there. It will be at 5:30pm in the school library.
