Everyone Belongs! Celebrating who we are!
Inclusivity, Respect and Belonging
We have been so busy at school. The past week we have had our Welcome Mass, the blessing and presentation of our student leaders, Harmony Day, World Maths Day and our fabulous learning in class.
We are inclusive, kind and caring at St Francis and on Harmony Day we celebrated our diversity and how we all belong. After our parade the student leaders read stories to our students to strengthen their understanding that we all belong. In our faction groups everyone participated in art activities that further highlighted how wonderful we all are. The students enjoyed being entertained by Father Rodrigo as he told them all about his life.
Our students are mathematicians in the making and World Maths Day provided the opportunity to further engage in our math learning. I loved the enthusiasm across the grades and saw so many mathematics strategies in play. I hope you have had some fun at home collaborating together to solve my mathematics problems. Keep an eye out for the solutions on Friday.
We have our Conversations for Learning next Tuesday and Wednesday. This will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s learning goals and hear about their journey so far in 2022. Please contact the classroom teacher if you have any further queries. Please use the link below to book your time. https://sobs.com.au/pt3/parent.php?schoolid=864

One of our families recommended to me a visit to Fogg Dam and I can report that my family had a fun visit and appreciated the beauty at sunset.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and I look forward to listening to the weekend adventures from the students.
We will be having an Easter raffle that will be drawn on Thursday 7th April, tickets are going home with students today, $2 a ticket or $10 for a book of 6 tickets. Donations for our raffle are appreciated.
The P & F Association exists to support the school community and is an integral part of the school. Our families have a vital collaborative role to play here at St Francis of Assisi. We welcome new members. Our first meeting will be before the end of term, this will be an exciting time to discuss our student and school activities for 2022.
