A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
|
|
Last Friday we gathered as a school to celebrate our Opening Mass for the 2025 school year. It was great to have a number of members of the school community and guests from Catholic Education Northern Territory join us for this special occasion.
|
Parish Priest, Father Rodrigo led the Mass with the assistance from Father Ronny who has recently joined the Parish. Father Ronny is originally from India and has been posted in Sydney for the last 19 years. He is loving the hot weather of the Top End as it reminds him of his homeland. We wish departing Priest Father Miguel all the best as he sets off for a new role in Chile.

We are looking for people to help coordinate Parents and Friends events this year. Parents and Friends play a vital role in helping run school events as well as raising funds for the school. Each dollar raised by Parents and Friends is matched by Catholic Education Northern Territory (up to the value of $9000). Last year the Parents and Friends raised $12,000 which is a remarkable effort.

The funds raised by Parents and Friends has allowed the school to purchase devices to support student learning and upgrade sports and play equipment. If you have the capacity to help out in any way please get in touch with the school office. As the saying goes, many hands make light work!

Conversations for Learning
|
The school will hold Conversations for Learning meetings on Tuesday February 25th. These meetings are a chance for the classroom teacher and parents/guardians to discuss a child's progress and development.
|
For students on Educational Adjustment Plans, more in-depth meetings will be held with families later in the term.
