A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

As we come to the end of Term One it is a great time to stop and reflect on all of the efforts of our students, staff and families so far this year. I am very proud of the learning and growth that I see each and every day at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School. I hope that everyone has a safe and refreshing break and return in Term Two ready to continue to build on the great foundations laid this term.

The time of the year is also a reflective period in the Church year as Christians prepare for Easter through the season of Lent. Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten appeal Project Compassion provides a great opportunity to practically live out the Lenten pillar of almsgiving. Tomorrow (Friday April 4th) we will hold a Casual Clothes day. We invite students to come to school in sun smart casual clothes and donate a gold coin to Projection Compassion.

Xplor Services Changes
Due to recent changes in the organisation of Catholic Education Northern Territory, we have had to make some changes to our Xplor system which is used at our ELC and OSHC.

Thank you to everyone who has already transferred to the new services. If you have not yet done so please check your emails and follow the links provided. If you have any questions, please contact the front office.

Parents and Friends Activities
Thank you to everyone who supported our recent Bunnings Cake Stall either by donating goods, helping run the stall or dropping in to buy some yummy treats. The stall was again a big success raising over $500.

The next Parents and Friends activity is the Easter Raffle. Tickets have been sent home and additional tickets are available at the front office. The raffle will be drawn in the first week of Term Two. We are also still accepting donations for prizes.

Vacation Care
A reminder that we will again be offering a Vacation Care program during the school holiday period. If you require Vacation Care please contact the office as soon as possible.
