A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I hope that everyone had a restful long weekend and was able to enjoy this cool weather we are having. I was lucky enough to travel with my family to Katherine and Barunga where it was definitely chilly at night! We attended the Annual Barunga Festival which celebrates Indigenous music, art, culture and sport. It was a wonderful experience and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been - just make sure you pack some warm clothes!

Next week all students Semester One Reports will be sent home to families. Our teaching staff have been working hard in gathering assessment data to show student progress and growth. Hard copy reports will be sent home on Tuesday June 18th.
Please note that at the end of Semester reports are just one part of the school’s assessment and reporting processes. If you have any questions about the reports please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher. The school will also hold Conversations for Learning next Term.

Farewell Sister Catherine and Sister Nuria
This week, Catholic Education Northern Territory, farewells Sister Catherine Mead and Sister Nuria. Sister Catherine will finish in her role as Leader of Catholic Identity and Mission early next Term while Sister Nuria is taking leave from the end of the Term.
Both Sister Catherine and Sister Nuria have been regular visitors to St Francis of Assisi during their time with CENT. This year they helped facilitate our school’s Catholic Identity Day which was a great success. On behalf of the school community, I would like to thank them for their support and wish them all the best in the future.
The school holidays are just around the corner and again our Outside of School Hours Care Team will be running a fun filled Vacation Care program. Please see more information below in the newsletter and contact the school office to make a booking.
