A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

This week we have been busy preparing for tomorrow’s School Sports Carnival. We have already held long distance running races for our students in the 8 and over age groups. Our House Captains have been working hard with their teams to design and decorate banners for the day and practice their team chants.

We look forward to seeing lots of families at school tomorrow for the Carnival. Thank you to everyone who has offered help to make sure the day runs smoothly. A reminder that the P&F will be running a Coffee and Cake stand. There will be staff and parent races for those you want to get into the spirit of the day!

Conversations for Learning
A reminder that the school will be holding Conversations for Learning on August 6th and 7th. Bookings can be made via the link below: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/ye3eh
Please contact the office if you have any issues.

Art Show
Our annual Art Show will be held on Wednesday August 14th. The theme for this year’s show is ‘Care for Our Common Home’. All students have decorated a template that can be ordered to be printed on a plate. Other templates for other printable items are available for the office. The Art Show will also feature other works of students from across the school.

Tell Them From Me Survey
In the coming weeks we will be inviting students, teachers and families to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.

We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of families within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at St Francis of Assisi.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the link below: http://tellthemfromme.com/sfacs

To encourage more families to participate in the survey, everyone who completes the survey before August 23rd will go into a draw for a $150 Woolworths voucher. To enter the draw please send through a picture of the completed survey page to admin.sfas@nt.catholic.edu.au along with your details.

100 Days of School
This week our Transition students marked the milestone of 100 days at school. It is amazing to see what they have learnt and achieved in that time. It was great to see Mrs Dando and some of her class dress up on the day to celebrate.

2025 Enrolments
Enrolments for the 2025 school year are now open. If your child turns 5 before June 30th 2025 they are eligible to start school next year. Please contact the office for an enrolment pack or to organise a tour.
