A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

This Sunday is Father’s Day which is a very special occasion to recognise and celebrate the role of fathers and father-figures in our lives. As a school we will hold a special Father’s Day celebration on Friday, August 30th from 7:30am. The day will begin with a free breakfast followed by a variety of fun activities and a liturgy. We look forward to seeing lots of families on Friday.

As part of our Father's Day celebrations our P&F will be running a Gift Stall. Items will range in price from $1 to $10. This will give all children a chance to buy something for the special people in their lives. Please contact the office or the P&F if you are able to assist on the day.

Tell Them From Me family survey
Thank you to everyone who completed the Tell Them From Me family survey. It was great to see an increase in the number of family surveys completed in comparison to 2023. The family surveys along with surveys undertaken by staff and students provide a great snapshot of the school’s current strengths and areas of further development. As advertised all those who completed the family survey and contacted the office went into a draw for a $150 Woolworths voucher. Congratulations to Megan Page who was the winner!

Senior W RSPCA Cupcake Day Fundraiser
Our Senior W Class has decided to sign up for the RSPCA Cupcake Day Fundraiser to support the great work they do. The class will host a cupcake stall at school on Tuesday, September 17th. Donations can also be made via the link below: https://www.rspcacupcakeday.com.au/fundraisers/seniorwpetprotectors

Transition to 2025
The 2025 school year is only just around the corner and the school is now taking enrolments for next year. If a child turns five before June 30th 2025 they are eligible to begin school next year. The school is holding a 2025 Enrolment Information Session on Thursday, September 12th. Our school readiness program will begin in Term Four for those children who are enrolled for 2025.

The school is also working in partnership with local high schools to support the transition of our Grade Six students into 2025. We have already had a session with staff from Taminmin College and will run similar sessions with Mackillop Catholic College later in the year.

With Faith in their Future
