Dear Families and Friends,
Last Saturday a number of young people from the Parish made their Sacrament of Communion. It was a beautiful celebration and we congratulate them all, in particular Emily and Sariah.
We were very delighted to share with the school community this week the permanent appointment of Tracy Lindquist to the role of Religious Education Coordinator of
St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School. Tracy has been Acting Religious Education Coordinator since March this year. I know that you will all join with me in congratulating Tracy on her permanent appointment.

Last week we celebrated and acknowledged NAIDOC Week which celebrated the history, culture and achievements of our First Nations People. Our students and staff continue to be involved with the wonderful activities organised by Ms Mehli this week., which will be shared with the community at our Assembly this Friday. Ms Mehli also escorted a number of our
Year 6 students, to the Girls Academy at Taminmin. We look forward to hearing more about what the Girls Academy is all about.

Yesterday I attended the Graduation Mass for 2020 at MacKillop Catholic College. It was a very proud moment for me as these young people were the Year 1 cohort of
students I taught when I first arrived at St Francis. We wish them all the very best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
Next week we look forward to hosting our Transition class of 2021 on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
