A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Chris McAloon
Hi All,

Last week we were blessed with near perfect conditions for our annual Sports Carnival. It was great to have so many families come along on the day. Events such as this involve lots of work from many people. A huge thank you to everyone who helped out in so many ways.

The students should be very proud of all their efforts. My message at the start of the day was to try your best, have fun and stay safe so it was pleasing to see all students doing exactly that. Congratulations to Clare House for taking out the Perpetual Shield for the highest points overall, Anthony House for winning the Spirit Cup and all the age group champions!

Strategic Planning
The school is currently working on developing a roadmap for the future with the support of consulting group tatu. The team from tatu have been onsite this week conducting interviews and focus group sessions with staff, students and families.

We want to get input from as many members of the school community as possible. It is not too late to contribute with the school survey still open. You can complete this short survey via the link below: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SFOASP2026

Conversations for Learning
The school will hold Conversations for Learning meetings on Tuesday August 11 and Thursday August 13. These meetings provide families with an opportunity to meet with their child's teacher and discuss their learning progress, achievements and future goals. Please book interview times via the link below: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/zzfrr

A reminder that if your child has an Education Adjustment Plan (EAP) meeting later in the term you do not need to book a Conversation for Learning meeting.

2027 Enrolments and Open Day
Enrolments for 2027 are now open! If you or someone you know have a child who is starting school next year please complete an expression of interest form via the school website or by contacting the office. Places especially in Transition are limited so please complete applications as soon as possible.

The school will also be holding an Open Day on Saturday August 29th between 10am and 12pm. This will include a meet and greet with staff, guided tours, children's activities and interactive learning displays. Register now via the school website for the link below: https://forms.gle/cm9FcrjSDDtajZKq8
