A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Chris McAloon
Hi All,

This week we celebrate our fathers and all men who act as father figures. On Friday morning we invite families to join us in this celebration with breakfast from 7:30am followed by classroom activities and a liturgy. This will be a great chance to come together and say thanks to all those fathers and father figures for all that they do.

The P&F is holding a raffle with a great gift pack up for grabs, additional tickets are available for purchase via the office. Later in the day the P&F will also hold a Father's Day stall where the children will be able buy a gift for those special people in their lives. Gifts range in price from $1 to $10.

Tell Them From Me - Partners in Learning Survey
Since 2023, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School and Catholic Education Northern Territory have partnered with Tell Them From Me to conduct annual surveys of students, staff and families to get feedback on the school performance and set future directions. We are again asking for family input through the short online survey. It can be accessed via this link: http://tellthemfromme.com/853yp

All families who complete the survey will go into the draw for a $100 Woolworths voucher. All the students of the house team that has the most entries will receive a pizza lunch in Term 4. Please complete the survey by Friday September 18th and email admin.sfas@nt.catholic.edu.au with your name and your child’s house team to go into the prize draw.

Bus Travel
Unfortunately, we have had a number of reports of our students' behaviour on school buses not meeting expectations. All school buses are operated by CDC NT which has a Code of Conduct that needs to be followed: https://cdcnorthernterritory.com.au/school-services/school-info/. CDC NT has in place processes for dealing with unacceptable behaviour on buses which include written warnings and bus bans.

I have spoken to all students who use the bus this week to remind them of the expectations when travelling on the bus. If your child travels on the bus please speak with them about what is and isn't acceptable on the bus. Everyone has the right to feel safe when travelling to and from school.
