A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hi All,

This week I have been attending the Australian Catholic Education Conference. This triennial event brings together educators, leaders, clergy, parents and others from the broader Church involved in Catholic education. This year’s theme is ‘hope, anchored in faith’, with the focus on the strategic vision and mission of Catholic education across three key areas – Faith, Excellence and Access.

The conference offers a broad range of speakers, presentations and workshops focused on Catholic identity, mission and formation; learning and teaching; leadership and governance; parent engagement; parish and community engagement; resourcing and infrastructure; advocacy and marketing.

Children’s Book Week

This week as a school we celebrate the annual Children’s Book Week. Bookfair is being run in the Library by Mrs Honey this week. Books continue to be on sale today & Friday from 8 am to 9 am. This afternoon books will also be on sale from 2.30 pm to 4 pm. On Friday we encourage students to dress up as a character from a favourite book. There will be a special Book Week assembly on Friday at 8:30 am - all welcome!

Catholic Education Northern Territory - Towards 2029 Survey

Catholic Education Northern Territory is currently undertaking a strategic planning process to formulate the next strategic plan - Towards 2029. Input is being sought by all stakeholders including staff, students and families of CENT.

Feast of the Assumption

Last Week we celebrated a school mass to mark the Feast of the Assumption. This was extra special as it was the first time that the school has held a mass in the St Francis of Assisi Parish Church this year. Due to renovations at the Church and an increase in enrolments at the school we were unable to hold masses at the Church until last week. We took advantage of the Grade 3/4 being on an excursion to hold the mass at the Church.
