A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

Our school recently celebrated the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost, significant occasions marking the end of the Easter Season. The Feast of the Ascension commemorates Jesus' ascent into Heaven, traditionally observed 40 days after Easter Sunday. Pentecost celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem during the Feast of Weeks.

Semester One Reports
Our teaching staff are currently finalising the Semester One student reports. These formal reports form a part of the school’s assessment and reporting processes. The reports will provide an update on student learning and progress. Hard copy reports will be sent home on Monday 16th June.

Freds Pass Show
It was great to get out to the Freds Pass Show recently to support the promotion of Catholic Education Northern Territory. It was wonderful to meet so many families and have a look around all the activities that make up the show.

Farewells and Welcomes
Over the past few weeks we have had some movements in our school community. Firstly, I would like to farewell Anthia Bakaouka and her family who are enjoying a holiday in Greece before relocating to Adelaide. I would also like to welcome Kathleen Mole, Violet Goldsmith and their families to the St Francis of Assisi school community. Both Kathleen and Violet have joined our Senior W class. That takes our current school enrolments to 104 which is up from 83 at the end of 2024.

We Are One Concert
Classes (and staff) are in the final stages of preparing for our upcoming We Are One school concert. This year we will be performing the musical, ‘Jukebox Time Machine’. It is bound to be a great night for all so we look forward to seeing lots of family and friends on Friday June 13th. Food, drinks and raffles will also be available on the night. A big thank you to the wonderful sponsors who have supported the evening:
  • Top End Water Storage
  • Andrew Mackay MLA - Member for Goyder
  • Humpty Doo Plumbing
  • Tennis Palmerston
A reminder that the school, ELC and Vacation Care services will all close tomorrow, Friday June 6th for our Catholic Identity Day.
