Hello families,

Thank you to Miss Santos, the student readers and all those involved in our Anzac Day commemorative ceremony on Monday. Our choir sang the National Anthem at the Anzac Service on Tuesday morning at the Humpty Doo Village Green. Thank you to the choir, students and families that joined in the march and attended the service to honour those who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces.

Mother’s Day breakfast invitation. On Friday 12th May we would like to show our appreciation for the important and wonderful women in the lives of our students and invite them to a delicious breakfast, some pampering and a liturgy to celebrate you. Breakfast will begin at 7:30am.

As you are aware I will be concluding my time as Principal of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary, at the end of Term 2. I am committed to the students, staff and families for the remainder of my time at St Francis and collectively we will continue to work together to guide the students as they grow, develop and strive to reach their personal goals both academically and spiritually. The St Francis community is truly remarkable, and I thank you for the support you have all given to me. The students bring a smile to my face every day and I look forward to a wonderful Term 2.

It is important to show pride in our school and one way we can do this is by wearing the correct school uniform. Students need a school hat to play, if you are needing a new hat these can be purchased at the front office. As the weather is getting cooler jackets are being needed by the students. We have school jackets available for purchase at the office, alternatively a navy blue jumper is appropriate. We ask students not to wear different coloured jumpers and jackets.

A reminder to please put the date for the We Are One Concert in your diaries. The event of the year will be held on Friday June 2nd. It will be a great evening for everyone.

School photographs are next Thursday 4th May. Please send your orders into the office.

Enjoy the May Day holiday on Monday and have a safe and happy weekend.
