It is a very busy time in our school calendar. There has been great learning happening across all classes. I have had the pleasure of being entertained by gripping writing pieces and have seen some great science lessons. I enjoyed listening to the students explaining their thinking and the strategies they use to solve the problems presented to them. Our gymnastics classes began this week so you may have your child practising their skills at home.

The Fred’s Pass Show is this weekend. We will be representing St Francis at the Catholic Education Northern Territory stall. I thank the staff giving up their time this weekend, please come and say hello to us if you are visiting the show.

We are giving reminders to students about wearing the correct uniform. The weather is getting cold and the students are wanting to rug up. We have school jackets on sale, or they can wear a navy blue jumper. A reminder that colourful jumpers are not to be worn at school. All students need a school hat at playtime. Teachers will be sending messages to families if your child does not have a school hat.

The principal beginning at the start of Term 3, Mr Chris McAloon, will be visiting St Francis next week. I know our community will welcome him warmly.

Our concert is next Friday !!! If you have a tarpaulin we could use for the students to sit on at the concert, can you please contact the front office. It will be a great night for everyone.
