Dear Families and Friends,
On Wednesday we welcomed our new Principal for 2022, Mrs Jennifer Rudyard, to St Francis. Mrs Rudyard was welcomed very warmly by staff, students and parents. She is very much looking forward to working with everyone next year. Mrs Rudyard will be here until Friday to become more familiar with the school and community.
a
Thank you to Alana Young and Gemma Thorpe for the beautiful luncheon they provided for staff on World Teachers Day. We all felt very spoilt and appreciated.

Rumours and or gossip can be harmless and a bit of fun. They are pieces of information or a story that has not been verified. What this means, is that the person telling the story does not know for certain if it is true or not. Most of the time, people who spread rumours do not bother to determine if there is any truth to what they are saying. Typically, rumours are spread from person to person and can change slightly each time they are told. As a result, they can become exaggerated and altered over time. For instance at school, particularly at this time of the year, there are rumours/gossip about which teacher is teaching what class the following year. Obviously, these conversations can be quite harmless but it doesn't make it true.
We are currently working with the Catholic Education Office on the appointment of the Religious Education Coordinator's position at St Francis. Once this position has been appointed we will be able to staff the remaining positions in the school and this will be communicated to families once confirmed.

If your circumstances have changed and you will not be returning to St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School in 2022, please notify us by contacting your child's teacher through class dojo or the front office on 89881212. This assists us in the preparation for 2022 when confirming staffing and the number of classes.

Thank you to those who were able to join us for our zoom meeting this week about MindUP for families. We were able to record the session so families would be able to watch at a time that was more convenient to them. This week the link for our annual survey has been sent to families. The information collated through the survey will inform our strategic direction for 2022. Please click on the link to complete the survey St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School 2021 Survey (google.com)
