School returns for 2022

week 9advent joy pptx
Dear Families and Friends,
We are rapidly moving to the end of the 2021 school year and for the very first time that I can ever remember, desperately feeling the need for time to slow down. There is still so much to do and say. Teachers have been working tirelessly marking assessments and completing reports which will be sent home next week. Classrooms are being packed away. And there is a sense of excitement brewing amongst staff and students with the upcoming holidays arriving.

Sadly at this time of the year, we often have to farewell staff and students. Next week we farewell Miss Moore who joined the team earlier this year as the Room 9 teacher. We wish Miss Moore all the best with her next adventures and thank her for her contributions. As mentioned previously we also farewell Mrs Lindquist whose family are relocating to NSW.
We are also saying farewell to Ms Robbins. Ms Robbins joined the school in 2006 as a classroom teacher. During the past 16 years Ms Robbins has taken on many roles but her favourite role was always in front of the classroom working with children. And there have been hundreds of children who
Ms Robbins has worked with over the years and I am sure she has hundreds of stories to share.
Ms Robbins has decided to retire and focus on herself, so on behalf of the whole school community past and present we say THANK YOU.

As sad as it is to say goodbye it is just as exciting to say welcome. I are very excited to welcome to the team Nicola Allison who brings to the school a passion for STEM and Mathematics. Mrs Allison has been teaching for a number of years and has experience working both internationally and within the NT. I know everyone will make her feel very welcomed in 2022.

Our school structure for 2022 will consist of:
Principal Jen Rudyard
Deputy Principal Sarah Haydon
Religious Education Coordinator Cara Flynn
Inclusion Support Coordinator Leanne Bolton
Transition Teacher Cara Flynn
1/2 Janine Woodroffe
3/4 Evi Dando
5/6 Nicola Allison
Preschool Teacher Leanne Bolton

We have really appreciated the contributions and support towards our request for donations of non-perishable foods that are then donated to St Vincent de Paul. These donations will be collected at our end of year school Mass and Awards ceremony.

Our End of the School Year and Graduation Mass will be held next Wednesday. We hope that our families and friends will be able to join us at this time. During the evening there will be a special dinner for our Year 6 Graduates.

The annual Christmas raffle continues and the prizes are getting bigger with first prize being an iPad and the second, third and fourth prize being a hamper of goodies including a gym membership to ifitness. Tickets are only $2 a ticket or $10 for a book of 6 tickets. Thank you to Area 9 for their donation of the ipad, ifitness for their donation of 3 gym membership vouchers and to families and friends for their donations towards the hampers.

I look forward to seeing family and friends at our final School Years Mass and Awards Assembly.

Grow in Wisdom and Love.

Mel
