Dear Families,

I’m delighted to welcome back everyone to school for 2022. I hope the holiday break brought you much joy and time with families. I look forward to working in partnership with you all in our commitment to provide the best opportunities for our students. Together, I hope we can deliver positive experiences to help our students feel acceptance, belonging and as our school motto reminds us, to grow in wisdom and love.

Thank you for the warm welcome I received from everyone in the community. I feel very blessed to be part of the St Francis of Assisi team and know that together we can embrace the challenges and rewards that a new school year inevitably brings. I would also like to welcome our new staff, students and families this year.

It was a wonderful start to the year here at St Francis of Assisi as we welcomed our students back for the official start of the school year on Wednesday. It was fantastic to see the smiling faces of our students, as even masks couldn’t hide the smiles, as friends were reunited after the school holiday break. The students quickly settled into school life and routine. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of exciting learning and discovery for us all.

Best wishes and God bless

Jen Rudyard
Principal

REMINDER
We have begun the new year under very new and unusual times as we navigate how to best deal with circumstances that COVID-19 brings. Parents and family members are asked to come onto school grounds only when deemed necessary. If coming onto school grounds, please sign in at the front office, wear a mask, confirm your vaccination status, sign in using the Territory Check in App located at the front entrance and practise social distancing. Thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness at this time.

PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT
Due to current regulations, it is not possible to hold our information night at this stage. We will send out information booklets to our families in the coming weeks. Should you require any information please contact your child’s teacher via Class Dojo. We will keep you all updated through regular communications.

CANTEEN
The canteen will be running a limited menu next week. There will be no recess orders and a changed lunch menu. You can assist us with this situation by sending recess and lunch to school with your child/children.

RECESS: no orders available
LUNCH:
Monday: Sausage rolls
Tuesday: Hot Dogs
Wednesday: Spaghetti
Thursday: Fish Fingers

MEDICAL
Please do not send your child to school if they are unwell. This is very important not only for your child but the health of all children and staff. If your child has a medical condition that the school needs to be made aware of, please advise Administration as soon as possible. The appropriate forms will be sent to you to be completed, signed and returned to the front office.
