“A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows.”
St. Francis of Assisi
Hello families,
St Francis preached the message of love and our students are the sunlight in our school as they show kindness and care to one another. It warms the heart to see the genuine care they show as they go about their daily business. Week 3 did not disappoint and has been another great week here. The students are happy and having fun at school which is so important to their well-being.
|
The focus around the school has been to introduce routine and classroom procedures to support our students on their learning journey. Our staff are building strong relationships with their students and are very in tune with their needs both academically and pastorally. The students are very settled in their classrooms and when I have visited, they are engaged in their learning.
|
Our face to face Parent Information Sessions have not been able to take place as planned and we have not been able to set a date. A parent information handbook will be uploaded to Dojo at the start of Week 4. The handbook will outline class procedures and the core content in each Key Learning Area that students will focus on for Term One. Once again thank you for your patience and understanding.
|
Have a safe weekend enjoying time with loved ones.

Parents and Friends Association
We welcome and encourage participation in school life by parents, grandparents and families. This participation is greatly valued and benefits St Francis in building our community spirit and raising funds for school resources. We invite and welcome those in the school community to join our Parents and Friends Association and contribute to a host of activities.
|
We recognise you may not be able to commit to all events throughout the year, therefore, we will be sending out communications when events arise during the year. It is a fabulous opportunity to build relationships, have fun and make new friendships. We love our families being involved in school life and look forward to you joining the P & F.

Parish News
We say a final farewell to Father Giovanni and thank him for all the guidance he has given us. St Bernadette’s in Perth is very fortunate to have him. We look forward to Father Rodrigo joining our school community. We welcome all families to join us at mass on Sunday.

Bombing of Darwin
The Commemorative Service for the 80th Anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin is to be held at the Darwin Cenotaph this Saturday 19th February from 9:30am. Our School Captains are unfortunately not able to attend this year and represent the school. Mrs Flynn will be leading our classes on Friday to acknowledge and pay tribute to those who were there.

Uniforms
The students have been looking very smart in their school uniforms as they have been wearing them correctly. If you need to update items or your child has had a growth spurt, we have stock available at school.
|
Canteen
Steve Bowell welcomes parent assistance. If you are available to assist in the canteen, please let the office know. Please see the link below for the canteen menu.
|
MEDICAL
Please do not send your child to school if they are unwell. This is very important not only for your child but the health of all children and staff. If your child has a medical condition that the school needs to be made aware of, please advise Administration as soon as possible. The appropriate forms will be sent to you to be completed, signed and returned to the front office.
