Dear Families and Friends,

It is with sadness that I share the news that Harry Whiting and his older brother Mitchell's mother passed away last weekend. Sam fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. Words are not enough to express how sorry we are for Harry and Mitchell and we hope that the precious memories they hold in their heart remain forever. Please keep both Harry and Mitchell in your prayers and thoughts during this very difficult time.

Thank you to all the families who came to their 'Conversations for Learning' meeting with their child's teacher and discussed their learning goals for this semester. For families who were not able to come and meet with their teacher, please discuss your child's learning goals which will be sent home in the coming days.

The Year 5/6 students are very excited as they make their final preparation for camp next week. We look forward to hearing about all their adventures and stories on their return. A huge thank you to the staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure everyone has a great time at camp and those parents who have volunteered their time to assist.

Our next School Board meeting on Monday the 17th of August is an AGM. Parents who are interested in supporting the school in making decisions on policies and processes are strongly urged to nominate themselves to become a parent representative through contacting the chair of our board, Di Relton at admin.sfas@nt.catholic.edu.au.

Please take note that on 11th of September the school will be closed. All staff will be participating in professional learning in the area of Catholic Identity. Please make arrangements of care for your child/ren for this day.

Tomorrow we will be hosting our annual Sports Day. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation of who will be taking home the trophy for 2020. Everyone is welcome to join us; keeping in mind the practices for our new normal when gathering at events.

Grow in Wisdom and Love.
