week 5 take
Dear Families and Friends,
At Friday's Assembly last week we had the opportunity to thank Gerry Wood, who is retiring from politics, for everything he has done for us. From supporting us at our events, making donations and being the master of ceremonies at the We are One concerts.
As we mentioned in our farewell speech: "Gerry; think of it not as retirement but a very long weekend, as we know that you will be back at
St Francis in the near future".

This week we have been celebrating National Science Week 2020. The theme this year is Deep Blue: innovations for the future of our oceans..
Tomorrow the children will participate in a range of scientific investigation as they enjoy a range of activities at our St Francis Science Expo.

On Monday night we held our annual School Board AGM. We are pleased to share that
Di Relton will continue as chairperson and Megan Page, Amy Adams, Donna Cartwright and
Josh Bunting as parent representatives. Both Rachel Jakobi and Terry Casey will continue in their roles of P&F representative and Parish representative respectively.
We are also pleased to share the nominations and acceptance of two new parent representatives to the Board, Carla Clough and Gemma Thorpe.

Our 2021 enrolment interviews are taking place. Please contact the office on 89881212 to book your interview.

Please take note that the date of Friday the 11th of September which had been nominated as a school closure day has been cancelled due to the speaker coming from interstate.
We will operate as normal on this day.

School photos will be taking place on Monday the 31st of August. Photo envelopes have been sent home. Orders need to be sent in or completed online before the day. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you have any questions.
Next week we will be celebrating Book Week with a variety of activities including our annual Book Character Parade. Don't forget to come dressed as your favourite book character.

Grow in Wisdom and Love.
