Week 1 prayer
Dear Families and Friends,
We welcome students, staff and families to the new school term. I believe that we are truly spoilt here in the top end with our beautiful weather and places to explore and hope that families had the opportunity to do so during the holidays while spending some valuable time with each other. It was wonderful to see everyone looking so relaxed and refreshed at assembly yesterday morning.
We also welcome some new families to our school, Brailen in Room 1 and Lailahni and Gus in Room 2. From our chats in the playground they tell me that they have already made tonnes of friends.

As mentioned to families, it is important that we continue to implement safe practices with the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19 to ensure the safety of all students, staff and families at St Francis of Assisi. This includes informing the school if your family or child has travelled interstate during the holiday break. If you are feeling unwell, it is also important that you do not attend school. Please let the front office know. Anyone who is quarantined, or is at home while awaiting a COVID-19 test, must provide a copy of the test results to the school before the student can return.
We thank you for your support regarding our 'new normal' as we continue to undertake and review measures already in place. We aim to keep families informed of any further changes.

Our 'Conversations for Learning' will be held next week. Please log onto sobs at https://sobs.com.au/pt3/parent.php?schoolid=864 to book your interview time with your child's teacher.

The Commonwealth Bank has informed us that school banking may resume as of Term 3 so please send those bank books in.

A letter was sent home this week to inform families to apply for their child's sports voucher they will need to go online via the website www.sportvoucher.nt.gov.au
If you see one of these notices in your child's lunch box it means that they told us they were still feeling hungry today. Could you please pack an additional sandwich or healthy snack to help them stay focused for the day.

We look forward to working with families this term. We are excited, passionate and enthusiastic about our learning and the possibilities this term may offer. Enjoy the long weekend.

Grow in Wisdom and Love.
