Dear Families and Friends,

Last Saturday a number of young people from the Parish made their sacrament of Confirmation. It was a beautiful celebration and we congratulate them all.

This Saturday we have two students, Sariah and Emily who will make their First Holy Communion.

We were very delighted to share with the school community last week the permanent appointment of Shannon Morgan to the role of Deputy Principal of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School. Shannon has been Acting Deputy Principal at St Francis during 2019 and 2020 and has extensive educational experience encompassing a range of teaching and leadership roles. I know that you will all join with me in congratulating Shannon on her permanent appointment.

Yesterday we stopped and reflected as a school community to commemorate Remembrance Day. A special welcome was extended to our honorable guests and local community leaders and representatives who were able to join us for our service.

During the past few weeks, we have had Mr Damon Court join the class in Room 11. Mr Court was completing his practical placement for school support. We hope that Mr Court enjoyed his experience with us and he tells us that he will be back to help out where he can in the new year.

I will be attending Principal Gatherings for the rest of the week. Mrs Morgan will coordinate the school in my absence.
