A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

This Sunday is Father’s Day which is an opportunity to recognise the important role of fathers and father-like figures in our lives. It is wonderful that we are able to celebrate this occasion as a school community. We welcome all fathers, grandfathers and father-like figures to school tomorrow for breakfast, a liturgy and some fun activities. We will also have a stall where students can buy a gift for their Dad or special father figure.

On a personal note, I am forever grateful to have been blessed with my father Pat who has set a wonderful example for me and my siblings. As I have become an adult I have a much greater appreciation of everything that he did for us growing up.

Father’s Day is also an opportunity for us fathers to reflect on our important role. As a father of three young children, I believe that being a father is the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. But it is not always easy. I am grateful that I have the example of my own father, my brothers and friends who are also fathers to draw upon throughout this journey.
