A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
As many of you would be aware, a local family tragically lost their young child over the weekend. As a school our thoughts and prayers go out to the child's family. I understand there are many connections in communities such as ours and this news will affect people in different ways. The school is here to support all of our families through this challenging period. We have a partnership with CatholicCare NT to provide a range of counselling services. If you, your child or someone you know would benefit from speaking with someone please do not hesitate to contact me.
As a school community we also keep Father Rodrigo and his family in our thoughts and prayers following the passing of his brother in Ecuador. Father Rodrigo was able to spend some very special time with his ill brother and family during a recent trip to Ecuador following his pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Portugal.
A final reminder that the School Board will hold its Annual General Meeting on Monday, September 11th at 5:30pm in the school library. The AGM includes the election of parent representatives for the board. If you would like to join the School Board please contact me as soon as possible.
It has been a very busy term indeed with our Athletics Carnival, Book Week, Science Week and Father's Day among other special occasions. Next week, the school will offer another way for our students to show off their talents with our Annual Art Show.
Students work will be on display in the library on Wednesday, September 13th between 3pm and 6pm. Families are also able to make Crazy Camel orders where students art works are printed on everything from calendars to coffee mugs. These items make great gifts and raise valuable funds for the school.
School enrolments for 2024 are now open! Children who turn 5 before June 30th 2024 are eligible to start Transition next year. Please contact the school office for more information or to arrange a meeting with me.
A reminder that tomorrow is a Pupil Free Day as our staff will be attending a Catholic ID day. We will see you all on Monday.
