A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hi All,

This week across the school the students have been preparing for the upcoming Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi. The students have been learning about the extraordinary life of St Francis and all that he did in his life to share the message of Jesus.

As St Francis’ Feast Day falls in the school holidays we will celebrate the occasion as a school community on the final day of this term, Friday September 22nd. The day will include a special mass followed by the Crazy Colour Day activities. Please log on to www.schoolfunrun.com.au to create an online fundraising page to share with family and friends.

Catholic Identity and Mission Day

Last Friday, a number of staff from St Francis of Assisi participated in CENT’s Catholic Identity and Mission Formation Day. This year’s theme was Finding our Heart for these Times:Fullness of Life for All (John:10:10). The day was co-facilitated by Dr Sandie Cornish, a practitioner and academic in the field of Catholic Social Teaching. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect and connect with others involved in Catholic education throughout the Northern Territory.

Vacation Care

With school holidays around the corner, our wonderful Outside of School Hours Care team has been busily preparing an action packed Vacation Care program. The program includes craft days, science experiments, local excursions and some special guests. If you require Vacation Care during the school holidays please complete the booking form below and return to the office.

2024 Planning

Although there is still a great amount of the 2023 school year ahead of us as a school we are starting to look forward to 2024. To assist us with our planning all families will soon receive a letter asking to confirm their intentions for next year. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
