Wk7 Father's Day prayer
Dear Families and Friends,
This weekend we celebrate Father’s Day. It is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for our fathers and father figures in our lives. I understand how sometimes parenting can feel
like you are pushing water uphill with a rake and other times endless blessings, on Sunday we hope that your day is relaxing.
Congratulations to Room 2 and everyone who contributed to the jokes for the Cow at the 2021 Royal Darwin Show. During the week we received our award for Highly Commended. The Room 2 students look very proud of their cow.

Next week is Child Protection Week. The theme for this years child protection week is Every child, in every community, needs a fair go. To treat all of Australia's children fairly, we need to make sure every family and community has what kids need to thrive and be healthy.
Please go to napcan.org.au for more about National Child Protection Week, events and resources.
At St Francis we will be getting involved in the NT Acts of Kindness Challenge - for kids and adults. From next week we will record acts of kindness we see or have experienced. We would love families to also be involved and will send home an activity sheet in the coming days.

On Friday the 10th of September, the school will be closed for staff professional development in the area of Catholic Identity. Vacation Care is available for booking as required and the Early Learning Centre will remain open. The booking form is included in this Newsletter.

Our school board Annual General Meeting was postponed last Monday. The new date, the 13th of September has been decided for our 2021 AGM.

Looking forward to seeing all our fathers and father figures at breakfast Friday morning from 8:00am, followed by a special Father’s Day assembly presented by Room 2. Students will also have an opportunity to purchase a gift at the Father's Day Stall. We wish everyone a marvellous Fathers Day!
Grow in Wisdom and Love.
