Week 6 Prayer

Hi everyone,

We are back to business at St Francis as we have welcomed back our families, we have merit award assemblies and whole school masses on the calendar. We will update the school calendar for our families with upcoming events. Thank you for your support this term, I really appreciate it.

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy will take place for Year 3 and Year 5 students from Tuesday 10 May to Friday 20 May 2022. Assessments are delivered online, with the exception of Year Three Writing which is handwritten. The students will participate in a practice test this term. An information brochure has been sent home with Year 3 and Year 5 students. I encourage parents to speak to me if you have any questions.
More information on NAPLAN can be found at nap.edu.au.

Please put the dates below into your diaries.

Thursday 17 March – St Patrick’s Day
Friday 18 March – Welcome Mass
Monday 21 March – Harmony Day
Friday 25 March- National Ride2School Day

I hear the fish are biting so I may venture out and try my luck over the weekend.

Thanks,
Jen Rudyard
Principal

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BOOKS

Saint Francis is registered for the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge 2022. Let's get reading and read 12 books in 24 weeks. Printed books, digital books and audiobooks are all part of the challenge. For younger children, a book that is read aloud by an adult counts towards their total. Use your membership to your local library to access eResources available from the borrow box.
