Students return for Term 2

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Term 1 has been fabulous at St Francis! Over the holidays we will celebrate Easter which marks the resurrection of Jesus. This is the most important holiday on the Christian calendar. Easter is a time for renewal and hope. As we prepare for the solemnity of Holy Week and the joy of Easter, let us reflect on the strength of our Christian unity.

Mrs Sarah Haydon has taken leave until the end of the year to spend time with her young family. We will welcome her back in 2023. We welcome to our team Jane Brandon. She is an experienced leader in education and brings with her high impact teaching strategies and an extensive knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum. She has expertise in the Arts and we look forward to the learning our students will have in this area next term under her guidance. Mrs Leanne Bolton will continue her wonderful work in the Preschool and cover Mrs Haydon’s day in the Transition classroom.

I wish you a safe and fun break enjoying time with your loved ones. Have a very Happy Easter and I will see you back next term on Tuesday 19th April.

P & F TERM 1 CATCH UP

We invite our families to join us Week 1 next term on Thursday 21st April. We will meet together in the library at 3pm, school pick up time. We will have an activity to keep the children busy while we get together. We look forward to hearing all of your wonderful ideas. If you are unable to attend, please email through any ideas you have prior to the meeting and we will share those.

ANZAC DAY CEREMONY

Our school would like to support our local community and we encourage all families to attend the ANZAC Day Ceremony on Monday 25 April at the Humpty Doo Village Green Cenotaph. We encourage all students in the choir to attend the service to sing the National Anthem together.
