A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

Thank you to all who attended the 2024 Family Welcome and Information Evening last week. It was a great opportunity for families and school staff to meet. I was very pleased to see so many new and existing families on the night. It is clear that a positive relationship between school and home is needed to bring about the best outcomes for students.

NAPLAN
A reminder that Grade Three and Five students will take part in NAPLAN tests from next week. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s classroom teacher.

Conversations for Learning
Bookings for the Term One Conversations for Learning meetings on Tuesday March 12th are now open. Please follow the link below to book an interview: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/yv7vs. If you are unable to attend the scheduled Conversations for Learning meetings please contact your child’s teacher to arrange an alternative time.

Crazy Socks Day
We are excited to announce our upcoming Crazy Socks Day in support of Project Compassion! On Friday March 15th, students are invited to wear their wackiest, wildest socks to school and show off their creativity while supporting a great cause.

In line with our commitment to helping those in need, we kindly ask that each student brings a gold coin donation to participate in this fun event. All proceeds will go towards supporting the invaluable work of Project Compassion in providing aid and assistance to communities in need around the world. Let's make a colourful statement of compassion together! Thank you for your generosity and support.

St John’s Catholic College Community
Our thoughts and prayers are with the St John’s Catholic College Community following the tragic passing of Mr Shandy Wijaya, a member of the College Finance and Administration Team, in a motor vehicle accident over the weekend. We also express our condolences to Mr Wijaya’s family. Catholic Education Northern Territory, the Bishop’s Office, Catholic Care and the Northern Territory Catholic Principals’ Association are all working with the school. I have reached out to the Principal, Cameron Hughes, and offered support we can offer in this difficult time.

With Faith in their Future
