A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

This week marked the celebration of Easter, the most significant and joyous time in the liturgical year. As well as being a time for celebration, Easter is also a time of deep reflection and spiritual renewal for Christians throughout the world. I hope that everyone in our school community was able to enjoy some rest and reflection over the Easter long weekend. Please follow this link to watch an Easter reflection from Bishop Charles Gauci - https://youtu.be/Y7ezpnSelUY

At school we marked the celebration of Easter with a whole school prayer on Tuesday morning and a special visit from the Easter Bunny in the afternoon. This Friday morning Father Rodrigo will hold a special Easter liturgy at the school. This liturgy will be in place of our weekly assembly and families are welcome to join us from 8:30 am. This will be a wonderful way to finish our first term of the school year.

NET Team Visit
We have been very lucky to have had two visits from the NET Team in recent weeks. The NET Team is part of the youth ministry initiative NET Ministries Australia which works with schools, parishes and university communities around the country. This week the NET Team completed a workshop with our Senior classes exploring leadership.

Xplor HUB
Families with children in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) services would have received a letter this week about the roll out of a new digital system called Xplor HUB. The Xplor platform will offer both families and staff a range of additional features and is being rolled out at a number of services within the Catholic Education Northern Territory network.

As part of the roll out families will need to complete an updated enrolment form via the Xplor online platform. I understand that this is an inconvenience for families but is unfortunately unavoidable and will only be required once. If you have any questions please contact our office staff.

Vacation Care
A reminder that our Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Team will be running a Vacation Care program through the upcoming school holidays. If your child requires care for all or part of the holiday period please contact the front office and complete a booking form.

A reminder that the school will hold a closure day on Friday April 26th. There will be no Vacation Care program on this day but the ELC will operate as normal.

I hope everyone enjoys the holidays. School returns for Term 2 on Monday the 15th April.
