A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

unnamed
Hi All,

This weekend we celebrate Mother’s Day which is a chance to reflect on the immeasurable love and sacrifices of the incredible women in our lives. Whether it's our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or guardians, their unwavering support shapes our journey and moulds us into who we are today. May we always remember to be grateful and to make them feel special everyday.

As a school we will acknowledge Mother’s Day on Friday morning with a special breakfast from 7:30am followed by classroom activities and a liturgy. All are welcome! Our Parents and Friends are holding a special Mother’s Day raffle with the prize being a special pamper package. Tickets are $5 and are available from the front office. The P&F are also holding a Mother’s Day stall with lots of great items for students to buy.

Thoughts and Prayers
On behalf of the St Francis of Assisi community, I send our heartfelt condolences to our ELC and OSHC Director Miss Bec and her family on the sudden passing of her father last week. We keep Miss Bec in our thoughts and prayers while she takes some time away from the centre to take care of family matters.

We also send our condolences to the family of former St Francis of Assisi staff member Marg Guit following her passing last week. Marg held a number of leadership positions in Catholic schools in the Northern Territory.

Parents and Friends Fundraisers
A huge thank you to all those who helped with last weekend’s Bunnings Cake Stall fundraiser. It was a very successful day which was only made possible by the hard work and generosity of many members of the school community.

The P&F have a number of activities coming up with the major event being the Hoedown on Friday May 31st. There are also tickets available for the Lucky Number competition. Please see the office to purchase tickets.

School Phones
Our school phones have now been completely switched over to Starlink. This should eliminate the issues we had been having with the aging copper lines during the wet season. There were a few issues with the rollover but they have been resolved. When calling the school please ensure that you are using the main number: 8988 1212.
