advent prayer week 7
Dear families and friends,
This week our Year 5 students participated in the Leadership program we have developed at St Francis. They looked at what is leadership, the qualities of a leader and the leader's role at school. I know that they all enjoyed the program immensely and wish to thank Mrs Morgan for leading this opportunity for our students.

The stage was set, the lights were bright and the mood was definitely festive. The Annual Rural Community Carols were held at Bees Creek Primary School on Saturday night. It was a wonderful night and the choir once again performed magnificently. Thank you to all our wonderful parents for supporting us and bringing your children to the event.
Did you know that St Francis has entered into 'The Great Christmas Tree Challenge'?
Schools were invited to enter into the competition with the winning tree receiving 12x 13.1 solar robot kits from Wicksees Educational Technology.
Voting for your favourite tree closes tomorrow, so if you get a chance to pop into the Galleria in the city, please vote for our tree.

On Tuesday the staff enjoyed a wonderful morning tea. It was also lovely to be joined by Ms Karen Robbins who has completed treatment and is looking forward to an illness-free 2020.

Our Inclusion Support Assistants have been very busy over the past few weeks consulting with students, designing and painting sensory paths outside the classrooms. A sensory path is a colourful, creative and playful way for kids to build sensory pathways in the brain and develop motor skills like balance, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.

Our Yr 6 students held their fundraising event for their graduation last Saturday at Bunnings - thank you for your support, with over $1200 raised towards the celebrations.
Don't forget to buy a Christmas raffle ticket or two for your chance to win some fantastic prizes. Thank you to our community businesses and people who have contributed to these prizes; Area 9, Clare's Cleaning, Amcal Chemist -Humpty Doo, Gerry Wood, Kezia Purick and our canteen suppliers, Bidfood.

Unfortunately, the counsellor from Catholic Care will no longer be working with us at
St Francis. If you have any questions or queries I urge you to contact Catholic Care on 89442000.

Please keep sending in your donations of food items towards the annual St Vincent de Paul appeal.

We would appreciate 5 minutes of your time to complete our school survey which will inform us and assist in our strategic planning for 2020. Please click on the link
