Week 9 PrAYER
Dear parents, families and friends,
As we celebrate the end of another amazing year at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our achievements and successes. However, with this sense of excitement and anticipation of the approaching holidays and Christmas, there is also some sadness, as we farewell families, students and staff. We farewell Mrs Bartle, Miss Nertney and Ibu Kirsty; all these staff members have contributed to the spirit of Jesus at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School and will be sorely missed. We pray that wherever their future leads them that they know we will be cheering them on.
I am very pleased to announce that Mrs Morgan has been offered and accepted the role of Deputy Principal for St Francis next year. Our Assistant Principal role will be advertised again and will be filled in 2020.
Just last week we celebrated the Graduation of our 2019 Pre-schoolers. Congratulations to all these students and we wish them all the best as they move into Primary School

Yesterday we celebrated the end of the school year with our Mass, School awards and Graduation of our Year 6 Class of 2019. Congratulations to our Year 6 graduates and all the students who received awards.

Last night Year 6 students, staff, parents and families gathered together to share a meal and reflect on our journey together. We are excited for our Year 6 students as they enter the next stage of their educational journey, confident that they have the skills and knowledge to be successful.

Thank you to everyone for your very kind donations of food stuffs for those who are not as fortunate as others. The staff also bought toys for children instead of gifts for each other. The St Vincent de Paul representative was very impressed with our generosity.

Thank you to all of our community businesses and people who have contributed to our prizes for our Christmas Raffle; Area 9, Clare's Cleaning, Amcal Chemist -Humpty Doo, Gerry Wood, Kezia Purick, Savy Mechanical, Litchfield Vets and our canteen suppliers, Bidfood.

Finally, I would like to thank the students, staff, school board members, parents and our community for your support throughout the year. If I could use an analogy here; I would be a Chesire cat purring contently on a big plush velvet pillow. It has been a good year, where as a team, we have achieved so much.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this year and look forward to working with everyone in 2020.

On behalf of everyone here at school, I wish everyone a joyful Christmas and a wonderful and safe holiday.

Grow in Wisdom and Love

Mel
