Week 5 Prayer
Dear Families and Friends,

This week we had some very exciting news with Ms White and her family welcoming Hudson to the clan. He is a very big little boy weighing in at 9.425 pounds and 52cm. Both Mum and baby are doing very well and we hope that we will get a visit in the near future.
Congratulations Ms White, Mick and Stevie from all of us at St Francis.

National Reconciliation Week 2020 is from Wednesday 27 May to Wednesday 3 June 2020. The theme is “In This Together”. Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians – as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation. In playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
We look forward to sharing how we celebrate Reconciliation week with you next week.

Thank you to all our families who support us in sending their containers to school for us to cash in. At the last collection, we made over $300. This money goes towards the purchase and upkeep of the ICT equipment and resources.
Sadly we have to inform families that Ms Jess our OSHC Coordinator has resigned from her position here at St Francis. We hope that we will be able to welcome her back to school when we are able to have a Friday morning assembly to formally thank her and wish her well.

On Monday night we held our monthly Board meeting via zoom. Our AGM will be on Monday the 17th of August from 5:30pm, hopefully in the library. We invite all families to keep the date free and join us for the AGM.

Please keep Sunday the 29th May between 8am and 12:00pm free and come along to the Berry Springs Market, where our Year 6 students will be cooking and serving delicious bacon and egg sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, cakes and other yummy foods as part of their fundraising efforts towards their Graduation celebrations.

We have been informed that families and friends will not be able to attend Sports Day with us this term. With this in mind, as our Sports Day is a wonderful celebration with families and friends of our student's sporting prowess and leadership, we have made the decision to postpone the day until term 3. A date for the Sports Day will be decided and shared with families next week. Thank you for your understanding with this.

Grow in Wisdom and Love.
