Dear Families and Friends,
Welcome to Term 2. We were very happy to see so many excited and happy faces join us on Monday morning, nevertheless, we are very appreciative of how everyone has worked together during these challenging times.
I hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter celebrations. I know for myself my own technical knowledge and skills have increased as I have learnt to zoom and houseparty with family and friends around the globe.
Congratulations to our winners of the Easter Raffle and a huge thank you once again to all our families for supporting the raffle.

As we can see by the term calendar and the dates to remember, there is not much happening in term 2 at the moment. Many of our events are on hold including our school photos. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page and your Class dojo for any changes and updates to the calendar. You can find our Calendar at https://www.sfasnt.catholic.edu.au/our-calendar/

It is wonderful to welcome Ms Robbins back to school. Ms Robbins is teaching the 3/4 class as Ms White has begun her maternity leave. We will keep families updated with any news.

With the ongoing Government advice related to the COVID-19 situation, schools will still implement a range of measures to promote good hygiene and social distancing:
  • All classes encourage social distancing where possible
  • Increased cleaning and hygiene practices within the school
  • Students will need to bring a water bottle and use the bubblers to refill their water bottle rather than drink from the bubblers.
  • School camps and excursions are currently on hold
  • Continued communication and connection between school and families is very important during this time.
Also at https://parenttv.com/blog/tips-for-adults-on-how-to-reassure-children-about-coronavirus/ Maggie Dent shares some tips on how to reassure children during these challenging times.
This year ANZAC Day celebrations will look very different from what most of us are used to. However, I have noticed how some communities are really thinking outside the box to ensure that we are still able to pay tribute to those who have served. At St Francis, we will also take the time on Friday morning to reflect and give thanks to those who have and continue to serve.
