Dear Families and Friends,
This Saturday we have three students celebrating the sacrament of confirmation. Chung, Dexter and Milla are continuing on their journey of initiation through receiving the Holy Spirit. We take this opportunity to congratulate them as they strengthen their faith and love. We are also very proud to share the news that Shannon Morgan has also been working on her own journey of faith and will be welcomed into the Catholic Church community when she joins our students making their confirmation.

Today we join with thousands of other school students from schools across the country when we sing the same song on the same day at the same time with the annual Music: Count Us In. This annual event will involve our students singing along with the song, ‘You
won’t bring us down’. at 11:00am. The choir has also been practising very hard to learn Auslan to sing along with the rest of the school. Please check out our Facebook page where we will share our performance with you.
Last Friday I was very proud to attend the Mackillop College Young Musician of the Year for Primary Schools. We had an excellent representation with keyboard, voice, cello and saxophone. Congratulations to all our students who did so well and a huge thank you to the Mackillop music department staff, who provide the lessons to our students. Please contact the office if you would like your child to learn an instrument for 2021.

bubblers
Earlier this week the Catholic Education Office advised us of the updates from the Department of Health in regards to the use of bubblers in school.
We are encouraging children to:
Wash their hands before and after use,
Let the water run for a short period prior to drinking from the bubbler and
avoid their mouth touching the bubblers.
However, we still encourage families to ensure that their child has a water bottle every day to make sure they are drinking enough water throughout the day especially as the weather continues to get hotter and hotter.
Next Wednesday at 11:00am we will pause and hold our Remembrance Day Service. Families and friends are all welcome to join us.

Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement and thanks and gifts last Friday for Worlds Teachers Day. We also thank the P&F for the lovely morning tea. We had a fantastic day.

Hope to see everyone on Friday evening for our P&F Movie Night and catch up.
Grow in Wisdom and Love.
