Dear Families and Friends,

This week we have continued to make preparations as we await the birth of Jesus. This Sunday will be the third Sunday of Advent and we will light the rose coloured candle which represents joy.

At School on Wednesday our choir brought some Christmas cheer to the residents of a local aged care facility when they came to visit and we performed for them. Our visitors then joined us for some morning tea and a chat.

Please keep in mind the Rural Community Carols will be brought to you for your pleasure via social media. Please go to https://www.facebook.com/darwinruralcommunitycarols/ on the 12th of December after 6:00pm.

School reports will be handed out next Tuesday. We invite families to sit and discuss these with their children, celebrating the successes and speaking about areas of focus. I would like to acknowledge and thank the dedication of the teaching staff for their work in reporting to families. Please do not hesitate to contact class teachers if you require further discussions.

Our Graduation Mass and Awards ceremony will be held next Wednesday the 16th of December in the undercover area. We would love families and friends to join us for this final celebration of the school year.

Please keep sending in your Christmas raffle tickets as there are some great prizes to be won, including an iPad, gym membership, veterinary voucher for your pets and some gift vouchers. Tickets are only $10 for a book of 6 tickets or $2 a ticket.

We look forward to seeing our family and friends at the Preschool Graduation which will be held in the undercover area of the school at 8:30 on Friday. We wish all our Preschoolers all the best as they move into 'BIG' school. We thank our educators who have been part of this journey and to their families who have supported and loved them.
